As part of the opening of the Manas Festival, we inaugurated the mandala space and began the creation of the Kalachakra sand mandala, which remained open 24/7 for participants throughout the festival. In the end, together with the festival-goers, the full Kalachakra mandala was completed. As a gesture of reverence for the Tibetan tradition, we will sweep it up in a ritual of impermanence and cast it into the fire by the lakeside at the willow dome, creating space for each of us to work with what we are ready to let go of through a personal gesture with a handful of sand.
